🚨 From Eurosatory and Our Two-Year Anniversary to Berlin Defense Tech Week

Fostering Defense Innovation for European Sovereignty

Last weekend, our Paris hackathon brought 130+ builders together, right before Eurosatory. It was great to see so many of you there!

Check out the winning teams on LinkedIn!

We even made it on French TV together with our partner DroneAid Collective France: https://youtu.be/j6IkZd9M_2M?si=sh6u5btgQvE4hihX

Next up is our Warsaw Hackathon this week on June 19. Then, on June 26–28, we’re hosting not just one but two hackathons — in Munich and London — for our two-year EDTH anniversary. And we’ll have Rome in early July and then Berlin Defense Tech Week: a full week bringing founders, engineers, operators, investors, policymakers, and military together across Europe, with our Berlin Hackathon (July 9–12) at its core.

For even more events, read below, or check out our event calendar: https://luma.com/eurodefensetech

Also, we’re covering below:

  • NATO DIANA and 17Tech are both open for startup applications, one a NATO-backed challenge call with funding and test-center access, the other a Finnish accelerator offering battlefield validation in Ukraine.

  • In October, the Resilience Conference will bring together startups, investors, and military leaders, which we are joining as a strategic partner. Register now to secure a spot or showcase your startup.

  • CEPA, the Center for European Policy Analysis, published "Unleashing Defense Innovation”, a report on how Europe and NATO can build a future-capable force, with a clear call to invest in and integrate Ukraine's battle-tested defense industry.

🚨 Berlin Defense Tech Week

For one entire week, July 6–12, Berlin turns into Europe’s densest defense tech gathering: builders, operators, investors, and policymakers all in one place. Packing this many events into one week creates the density to turn conversations into partnerships.

Highlights include the Berlin Defense Tech Forum, our Legal Forum, the EDTH Meetup in collaboration with Atlantic LaVCbs, and, at its core, our Berlin Hackathon on July 9–12.

Here’s an overview: https://eurodefense.tech/berlin-2026/

🚨 Two Opportunities for Startups

NATO DIANA’s Challenges for 2027

Until July 3, startups can submit proposals to six security and defense challenges from the official NATO DIANA Accelerator Programme. Startups that make it, will join the DIANA Programme to become “DIANA Innovators”, and a selection will go on to enter the Accelerator Programme.

Find out more about the challenges and submission here.

Defense Accelerator: 17Tech’s Second Cohort

17Tech is a Finnish accelerator and early-stage investor that runs its programme alongside Ukraine’s Defence Builder, giving defense and dual-use startups battlefield-near validation through its Ukrainian partners. Selected teams receive early-stage funding, weekly 1:1 mentoring, and a demo day in front of investors, defense buyers, and military leadership. The programme is open to startups across NATO countries, with a focus on areas like autonomy, counter-UAS, electronic warfare, and resilient comms.

Find out more and apply to the second cohort here.

Resilience Conference | London, October 5–6

In October, the Resilience Conference returns to London for its flagship edition, bringing together startups, investors, and senior defense and security leaders from across Europe. It features keynotes, breakout sessions, and Launch, its startup showcase that puts early-stage founders in front of investors and military buyers.

We're proud to join as a Strategic Partner. If you're building in defense, security, or resilience, this is one to add to your autumn calendar.

CEPA Report: Unleashing Defense Innovation

CEPA, the Center for European Policy Analysis, published "Unleashing Defense Innovation," a report on how Europe and NATO can build a future-capable force.

Two arguments stand out: that allied procurement should run on interoperable, software-defined systems with common standards and shared data, and that Europe should invest in and integrate Ukraine's battle-tested defense industry as one of its strongest sources of innovation. A clear-eyed read on where European defense is heading.
